For more than thirty years, great contests of battle have ravaged planet earth, costing untold billions in lives. These conflicts have seen two great military powers and a underground indigenous force partake in sparring contests decided with troops, tanks, and superior exotic weaponry. For many, these wars have become the defining moment of the Twentieth Century, opportunities for some, tragedy for others.
These are the Tiberium Wars.
For years, scholars in the fields of military research and political science have debated over what exactly sparked the First Tiberium War, then simply, the "Tiberium War." Analysis of political structures and religion point to failing national economies, corrupted governments, religious fanaticism, and a general dislike of Western policy. However, all in-depth studies point to one commonality: Tiberium.
Tiberium first came to Earth via an element-laced asteroid which crashed-landed near the Tiber River in Italy. Thus, "Tiberium" earned its iconic name. Initial discovery of Tiberium is accredited to Doctor Ignatio Moebius, a renowned scientists of the United Nations

The Brotherhood proclaimed themselves to be an army fighting for "peace, unity, and eternal fraternity." Zealous members of the Brotherhood went on to challenge not only Western military power and political agendas, but also contested the first discovery of Tiberium. Kane, Nod's own enigmatic leader, claimed that the Brotherhood were first to discover the exotic element, and that he had named Tiberium after Roman figure, Tiberius Drusus Caesar.
