One Vision, One Purpose

Vagrants, rebels, militiamen, extremists, societal outcasts, and terrorists of all types and tactics make up the majority of Nod's battle ranks. Found everywhere from crumbling third-world provinces to urbanized metropolises infested by Tiberium, those who follow Kane are motivated to take up arms for their cause by the ideal of the destruction of the oppressive Western-like imperialistic governments and the promise of being chosen to live within the utopia of the Tiberium future. Though most lack formal military-based training upon initial recruitment, their years of war fighting experience, exotic Tiberium and flame-based weapons, and a zealous followership of the codes of the Brotherhood make them a significant threat to their enemies.

Light Infantry

The Light Infantry are the mainstay of the Brotherhood troops. Armed with a custom-grip and completely redesigned M16 Mk. II Pulse Rifle, they deliver light damage to most targets at extreme ranges.

Flame Trooper

Even in the wake of cutting-edge military technology, the outdated flame thrower-equipped soldier has returned to the forefront of Nod's assault troops. Donning a fire-retardant suit and equipped with a man-portable flamethrower, the flame-based soldier of yesteryear retains its effective close-quarter killing power as well as its psychological effects. Just as symbolic as it is deadly, the flamethrower utilizes a napalm-like mixture which burns slower than normal, allowing for maximum close-range destruction as well as effective elimination of human targets and armament.

Rocket Infantry

Nod's heavy infantry carry a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher that is effective against vehicles, structures, infantry, and aircraft. Because of the increased weight of the rocket launcher, Rocket Infantry are slower than light battle infantry but are more heavily armored.

Technician

The Nod Technician bears close resemblance in terms of duties and responsibilities as the Engineer. Unlike Engineers, they lack combat skill and discipline, and thus pose little to no threat to enemy personnel. Despite being unsuited for attacks on enemy fortifications, they are essential for maintaining the upkeep of a fixed installation.

Engineer

With a pistol, C4, and wrist repair hub acquired from the Philadelphia electronic warfare attack, the Engineer is an invaluable gear in the war machine of Nod. Deadly in his own right, this soldier has a multiple of purposes and capabilities. Like the GDI counterpart, tactical use of the Nod Engineer is considered an art among many commanders.

Elite Cadre

Those Nod soldiers who stand above the rest and prove their skills in combat are singled out for special training and promoted to the level of Elite Cadre. A beginner's level for admission into the Black Hand, Elite Cadre receive the benefits of upgraded body armor and a choice in the weapons they carry as per by their superior position. Respected for their battlefield superiority and their loyalty to Kane, they are the enforcers of the doctrines and ideologies of Nod.

Cyborg Infantry

Cyborg Infantry are the result of the recent Nod experiments in melding Tiberium-mutated humans with machines. They are armed with heavy body armor and their weapons are actually their arms, consisting of a chain gun for one arm and small cannon for the other. This unit also has the ability to heal in Tiberium.

Kerubim

Recent developments in plasma technology have allowed Nod to field a new type of antitank weapon. These experimental and equally lethal devices are granted only to those rare and near-extinct soldiers with incomparable battlefield performance, as well as the highest belief in Kane and Nod's ideology. These individuals are addressed by only one term, fitting for their near-divine reputation and trust placed in them by Nod's highest: Kerubim.

Chameleon Spy

A master of infiltration, stalking, and stealth, the Chameleon Spy is the next-generation of Nod's invisible soldier brought to light in the Second Tiberium War. Equipped with a personal cloaking device and armed with a high-penetration sniper rifle, the Chameleon Spy represents the epitome of the perfect sniper: undetectable and split-second lethal.

Devil's Demolisher

The counterpart of GDI's Bomb Specialist, the Devil's Demolisher is equipped with enough C-4 to level an entire building on his own. He is also equipped with antipersonnel Proximity Mines, as well as an Italian Franchi SPAS-12 Shotgun for close-quarter fighting.

Black Hand Assassin

Cold, cunning, and ruthless, the Black Hand represent the elite of Nod's elite. With infiltration, sabotage, and assassination as trademark skills, Black Hand Assassins today are dedicated to reaching out and striking down their targets from a distance, though their traditions of zealous followership of Nod and their dire reputation for brutality remain unchanged. Nevertheless, the Black Hand Elite are able to strike fear into their enemies by the very mentioning of their name alone.

Mutant Hijacker

Another of the mutant commandos, the hijacker has the ability to break into, hotwire, and commandeer any vehicle he wishes. Like all mutants, the Mutant Hijacker can heal in Tiberium. Traditionally, hijackers and gangsters with similar purposes carry an assortment of close-quarter weapons, from pistols to knives and even crowbars.

Lillith Hespiax

A product of Project: Regenesis, Lillith Hespiax is one of Nod's Tiberium-mutated supersoldiers, much like Petrova before her, but without the enhanced musculature. A mutant commando and vicious warfighter, Lillith can heal in Tiberium. Trained to match any enemy unit in battle, Lillith is equipped with a Tiberium-based automatic rifle, which she can turn upon herself to quicken her regenerative processes.

Cyborg Commando

Those Cyborgs that perform well are further modified and promoted to the Nod Cyborg Commando ranks. Packing enough firepower to take out entire bases, the Cyborg Commando is a large threat on the battlefield. Armed with a chain gun or high-capacity plasma cannon and flamethrower, the Commando can make quick work of vehicles, infantry, and structures.
