Devil's Tongue

From Reborn

Jump to: navigation, search

-according to Westwood renders, the Tiberian Dawn Flame Tank was addressed as the Devil's tongue

-according to DOS C&C manual, this tank was also known as the Pyradon. Still trying to get a meaning of the word...

-however, popular vernacular did not address it was such, so we will leave the Devil's Tongue address only to those of the religious cult-driven Black Hand

-is larger than tick tank, and larger than all other nod vehicles except the fist of nod and mobile stealth generator

We should make it a habit of posting original images

Temple Wishlist:

Particularly useful against infantry and structures, the Flame Tank can mow through swarms of infantry with little or no damage to itself. To top off its destructive capabilities, the flame tank is fast, able to avoid some of the slower firing weapons and get close to its target quickly. It is a fast, deadly, and precise weapon of the brotherhood. What makes GDI shiver is the fact that the flame tank travels long distances UNDER ground thus making it impossible for GDI officers, jump-jet infantry or any other GDI unit to pick them up and warn the base of an impending flame tank attack. It strikes without warning and does havoc to anything it come in contact with. It makes quick work of wolverines as its heavy armor causes the bullets to bounce off doing minimal damage while its 2 flame cannons do a great deal of damage to the wolverine, destroying it in a matter of seconds. However this unit has a few drawbacks the major being it cannot defend itself against long range artillery such as GDI's Titan or infantry with missile launchers. Although the flame tank has a thick hull, it is no match for GDI's base defenses particularly the RPG component, the RPG component, if in range, can obliterate flame tanks at a rather fast pace. Flame tanks, like any other unit are prone to land mines.

Strategy: Flame tanks are a great tool of destruction for the brotherhood. If they are amassed and used in groups of 3 or 4 the group will have a 95% chance of destroying 1 OR more GDI buildings and units. Flame tanks are best used as a backstabber type of a unit, appearing behind enemy formations and completely catching them by surprise destroying most if not all the attackers and quickly submerging underground planning their next attack.

A close up of the devastating NOD flametank, visible is are the units that dig into the ground allowing the vehicle to travel underground.

Another close up of the Flame tank.
